The libertine world is going through a zone of turbulence. Between court decisions, interventions by law enforcement and changes on platforms, the industry is currently experiencing an unusual period of movement. Here's a clear, factual take on what's happening.

1. The decision of the Council of State concerning a Parisian establishment
On July 15, 2026, the Council of State issued a decision relating to the administrative closure of a Parisian establishment in the 15th arrondissement.
Let's first remember an essential point: Gangbang is not prohibited.
The organizer of this establishment responded to an existing demand in part of the community. However, certain proposed events, by their extreme nature, shocked part of public opinion and the authorities. The Council of State considered that the conditions in which these evenings were organized justified intervention.
In its decision, the Council of State noted in particular that the establishment offered simultaneous sexual encounters “based on scenarios including situations of sexual assault, violence, kidnapping or kidnapping of the participating women”, and that the men were “explicitly invited to be insulting and virulent towards the latter, thus reduced to an exclusive role of sexual object”.
The judges also considered that the organization was not surrounded by “guarantees to ensure the free, informed and revocable consent of the participants”, within the meaning of the new definition of consent resulting from the law of November 6, 2025.
In summary: it is not the collective practice itself that was sanctioned, but certain organizational methods deemed problematic. The Council of State thus put a brake on this type of event as it was proposed.

2. Arrests and interventions by law enforcement
For several months, party organizers have been arrested and interventions by the police have taken place during certain parties.

3. Wyylde and the suppression of private parties
Wyylde.com recently removed the functionality to organize private parties through its platform.
This decision comes in a tense context.
In the fall of 2025, the manager of the Le Strip club initiated proceedings for unfair competition. In Le Parisien of October 5, 2025, he declared: “There are them every day and, everywhere, it is unfair competition, what they do is totally illegal and strongly impacts the attendance of all the libertine clubs in Paris and its suburbs. » He added: “Putting 200 people in a pavilion, without the necessary security or hygiene, is dangerous. And that’s without counting on the money that circulates in the black, without any taxes or fees. It’s super lucrative for the organizers. It became a business. »
More recently, the Gironde “libertine rape” affair highlighted the use of Wyylde. According to Le Monde (July 2026), the main suspect recruited men on the platform for evenings during which several of his companions claimed to be victims of gang rape, sometimes filmed and broadcast live. Nineteen men were indicted for “rape with torture and barbaric acts”. The Paris prosecutor's office has since opened an investigation targeting the platform.
We are witnessing a dangerous amalgamation. Blaming a platform for having been used to commit crimes is a bit like blaming Tinder for the rape of a woman during a meeting organized via the application.
We will see what follow-up the justice will give to this procedure concerning Wyylde. The platform obviously has nothing to gain from such facts and finds itself dragged into issues that are not its responsibility. Wyylde remains a popular platform for the libertine world, which has nothing to do with an extreme minority of deranged people who abuse women and who must, of course, be put out of harm's way.

4. What now?
Yes, the libertine world is going through a period of upheaval. Clubs are under pressure, organizers are worried, features are disappearing, and the courts are taking a closer look at certain practices.
But in the end, if these events allow the community to refocus on what is essential – real consent, respect, safety and a clear framework – perhaps that is a good thing. Let's try to see the positive and move forward.
Because sexual freedom only has meaning if it is exercised in a framework where everyone can really say yes… or no.
